Terms of Use

What Eavesdrop is

Eavesdrop is a Chrome extension that shows a YouTube video's comments in a floating panel over the player, so you can read them without scrolling away from the video.

YouTube Terms of Service

By using Eavesdrop, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms).

Eavesdrop uses YouTube API Services to fetch comments. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles those requests, and Eavesdrop's privacy policy for what Eavesdrop itself reads, sends and stores.

Eavesdrop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

Eavesdrop Pro

Pro is a one-time license, not a subscription. It is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, taxes, receipts and refunds. A license key is for the purchaser's personal use; please don't share or resell it.

No warranty

Eavesdrop is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It depends on YouTube and its API, which can change or become unavailable at any time, and on a daily usage limit shared by all users, so comments may occasionally fail to load.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Eavesdrop after a change means you accept the updated terms.
